Timeline & Biographies

Welcome to the Zoot Suit Riots timeline! This timeline travels through the important dates during the Zoot Suit Riots. The Zoot Suit Riots started on June 3, 1943 and ended on June 8, 1943. During these six days African Americans and Mexican Americans were beaten, stripped of their clothes, and other horrific actions. Although we focus on the Zoot Suit Riots, the history of California is directly connected to the lead up to the riots. We hope as you journey through this timeline you are able to learn more about everything that has to do with the Zoot Suit Riots. Enjoy!
