Globalization

Globalization is a term used to describe the system that keeps our world connected. In many ways, globalization is advantageous to the world because it helps people spread ideas, technology, and goods. Although globalization can be good, it can also cause several issues. For example, globalization encourages cheap labor in poor countries. These areas have a lower minimum wage than the United States, so big corporations make factories in these locations, meaning that there can be cheaper labor prices. Globalization can also cause financial crises to spread faster. If one country is having a problem, all countries are affected. During the Covid-19 pandemic, many people in the U.S. started to order more goods online. However, this occurrence caused a backup in the Port of L.A. and quickly spread all over the world, causing the supply chain crisis.
